Can you get behind our incredible London Marathon runners?!
For the first time ever, we have two runners in the London Marathon hoping to raise much needed funds.
Our first runner, Ayesha, lives in Bradford and works for the charity. Our second runner Molly is a Trustee for the Staying Put Group.
“We’re delighted to have two enthusiastic runners taking on the challenge of the London Marathon,” states Andy Ellis, Business Development Manager. “We’d love for Bradford, West Yorkshire to get behind them and help them raise money and awareness for Staying Put.”
Molly and Ayesha have started their training regimes and are being supported by Staying Put with training shirts and fundraising ideas.
“I’m running the London Marathon for every survivor of trauma.” Says Molly. “I’m incredibly proud to be fundraising for Staying Put. They are a beacon of hope in Bradford and West Yorkshire, providing critical domestic abuse and sexual violence services.”
“I’m really excited and a little scared to take on the challenge,” says Ayesha “I’m not a seasoned runner. But I am determined. And I will cross that finish line – for myself, for the women who came before me, and for those still finding their strength.”
