How your business can help
Hello. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read this page.
We know that time is precious and so we really appreciate that you are considering helping our charity.
One in four women, and one in six men, will be a victim of domestic abuse in their lives.
Working in partnership with businesses of all sizes throughout Yorkshire is important to us. Support from all types of local companies can help to make a real difference to the lives of all the survivors who rely on us.
As a corporate supporter, you can expect to receive from us:
- Logo appearing on our website
- Encouragement, advice and support from the outset
- Priority notification of key fundraising events
- Formal thanks for monies raised – big or small and if appropriate a certificate of recognition
- An invitation to our Annual General Meeting
- Updated news stories highlighting our partnership in our newsletters, social media channels and press releases
Email fundraising@stayingput.org.uk if your organisation would like to fundraise for us.

Sponsor’s Story
Betty’s Tea Room, Ilkley
Betty’s Ilkley have made us their charity of the year for 2023. They have organised various events across the year, including running the Leeds 10K, Bingo nights and other fundraisers. We look forward to hearing how much they have raised at the end of the year!

Sponsor’s Story
Virgin Media
Virgin Media are a brilliant example of how to provide support to us and our clients, in ways other than giving monetary donations. In November 2021, we were gifted 250 SIM cards, all with 20GB data plus unlimited calls and texts for six months. These are incredibly useful to give to victims of abuse who are fleeing their home.
Then in June, a team of Virgin Media staff members volunteered a day of their time to help us redecorate one of our refuges! What superstars.

Sponsor’s Story
Makin Dixon
Yorkshire solicitors firm Makin Dixon have been an incredible support to Staying Put. Recently, an incredible team of enthusiastic runners took part in the Leeds 10k to raise money for us. The team raised over £2500 in unrestricted funds which will be used to help our clients in a variety of ways.
To return our thanks we posted a number of social media posts highlighting the partnership, raising awareness that Makin Dixon support local charities.
