Sponsor’s Story
Makin Dixon
Yorkshire solicitors Makin Dixon have been an incredible support to Staying Put. They have had teams of people running the Leeds 10k for us, became our first ever running shirt sponsor, supported our Autumn Ball and this year, too part in the Dragon Boat race. To date, Makin Dixon have raised over £8,000 which will be used to support our service users in many ways. ‘Thank you’ doesn’t seem sufficient for their amazing and continuing support.

Williscroft Solicitors
Williscroft Solicitors sponsored a table and attended our Autumn Ball fundraising event. They enjoyed some fantastic entertainment and food and helped us dance the night away. Their support enabled us to raise over £4,000!
Sponsor’s Story
Apex Solicitors
Apex Solicitors took part in our ‘Brew With Your Bestie’ campaign, where we asked people to have a brew with their best friend and donate the cost of their brew to us. Apex held a coffee morning for us and helped us to raise over £2,000 in total!

Betty’s Tea Room, Ilkley
Betty’s Ilkley made us their charity of the year for 2023. They organised various events across the year, including running the Leeds 10K, Bingo nights and other fundraisers. By year’s end thy had raised an incredible £4,000 for us. A huge ‘Thank You’ to Betty’s for their wonderful support.
Sponsor’s Story
Pink Ginger Florist
Pink Ginger in Bradford contacted us to ask if they could hold a coffee morning for us. They raised £210 which could help support women in our refuge with essential items, including shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrush and deodorant. It could also buy groceries for a few weeks. When women come to our refuges, they come with nothing.
Sponsor’s Story
Virgin Media
Virgin Media are a brilliant example of how to provide support to us and our clients, in ways other than giving monetary donations. In November2021, and again in March 2025, we were gifted 250 SIM cards, all with 20GB data plus unlimited calls and texts for six months. These are incredibly useful for people experiencing abuse who are compelled to leave their home. In addition, teams of Virgin Media staff have twice volunteered their time to help us decorate rooms in our refuges. Superstars one and all!
What’s in it for your business?
We want our partnerships to be exactly that – a two way partnership that goes both ways. It’s not just about what your business can do for us, but also the benefits you will gain from partnering with us.
We can:
- help you to meet your corporate social responsibility (CSR) targets
- generate positive publicity for your business
- network you with other local businesses
- help you with team-building
- provide your people with personal & professional development opportunities.
"The day I rang for help [was] the day I realised it was time for me to leave...The day I was accepted [to refuge] I had my full life in four bin bags and some toys I managed to grab." Kayleigh.
