Senior leadership team
Yasmin is educated to postgraduate level, and has over 20 years’ experience of leading on women’s rights/gender-based violence, education services to young people raising aspiration and widening opportunities, supported housing and working around mental health and wellbeing. She is passionate about equality of opportunity and human right issues and regularly campaigns for change.
Since 2000 she has been instrumental in setting up a range of innovative services for vulnerable people in West Yorkshire in addition to developing national working initiatives for marginalised groups.
She is a confident and strategic thinker achieving organisational vision. She has proven to be an ambassador of third sector organisations; sitting on a number of strategic partnerships, she has representation on these partnerships with the aim to influence better outcomes for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society.
She has previously worked for the Government, Women’s Aid, Housing Association and NGO’s. In 2015 she set up International Intervention, Rehabilitation and Protection (I-RAP) a charitable secular agency working with children and young people at risk of child sexual exploitation.

Head of services
Shabana, who holds both a BA Honours and MBA, joined Staying Put in August 2001, a newbie to the Violence Against Women and Girls Agenda. Over the years Shabana has held many diverse roles across domestic abuse support sector locally and regionally, from front line crisis support to trustee for independent charities.
Shabana’s responsibilities as Head of Services includes managing strategic partnerships, overseeing high quality and safe practice of our operational services including the One Front Door, Community Support and Accommodation-related Services.
Shabana is the third sector representative to the Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence board of the Deputy Mayor of the West Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and co-chair of the Bradford District Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence, Support and Protection subgroup.
She has a strong commitment to striving for excellence in all areas of Staying Put, dedicated to achieving our successes together.
One Front Door manager
Dina graduated from Silesian University in Poland in 2009 with a master’s degree in ‘Rehabilitation of Offenders and Social Prevention’ studies. She started working for Bradford Women’s Aid after graduation, and helped to develop a Girl Empower Programme for girls struggling in a mainstream education and young offenders.
Dina started working at Staying Put as an EU Development Worker in Jan 2012. She developed new referral pathways, and raised awareness of Eastern European communities in Bradford, in terms of their needs and barriers in accessing support.
In 2018, Dina became a Senior Crisis Intervention Worker in 2018 and led a team of dedicated support workers to deliver crucial services to DA survivors. Over the years Dina has delivered multiple DA Training sessions to professionals in Bradford, created and developed support groups for clients (with help of other colleagues) and was part of the initial DA Car initiative in Bradford and Wakefield. In 2020, Dina was promoted to be the manager of our One Front Door initiative.

Dr Nazya Fiaz
Nazya is currently Head of Pensions Dashboard Policy at the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) where she leads a policy team on a high-profile government programme to enable individuals to access their pensions information online, securely and all in one place.
Prior to joining DWP, Nazya was a senior policy advisor at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) where she led a team of parliamentary officials with direct responsibility for providing ministerial briefings to allow for parliament’s scrutiny of NHS Test & Trace. This work included briefings for public accounts committee (PAC) hearings.
Beyond this, Nazya has substantial policy, strategy, and programme management experience in the democratic governance sector, specifically parliamentary strengthening where she led, in a range of senior roles, on the technical, financial, and administrative aspects of various multi-million pound international development programmes. Previous employers have included: British Council, the European Union, Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) and the Palladium Management Consultancy Group.
Nazya has a PhD in International Relations, obtained in 2010, and a Masters degree in Research Methodology. She has designed and delivered university courses as well as published in a range of world-leading, peer reviewed academic journals including the European Journal of international Relations and Journal on Security and Terrorism Analysis.
Helen became the accountable officer for Bradford District and Craven CCG in April 2020 following the merger of Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven, Bradford City and Bradford Districts CCGs.
She is a well known local leader who has worked in the NHS in Bradford since 1992 and was the deputy chief executive of the former Bradford and Airedale Teaching PCT. In 2010 She took a two year secondment with the Department of Health as programme director for primary care as part of the NHS England establishment team.
Helen also has leadership roles in the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership (ICS) as SRO for the System Leadership and Development programme and as lead commissioner for the mental health, learning disabilities and autism programme.
Dr Ranjit Arora
Ranjit Arora started her career as a teacher, progressing to teacher training and middle management culminating in being a Head of Department in a College of Further, Higher and Adult Education. During her career, she has worked for the BBC and authored a few educational and research publications. Once retired from her fulltime paid job she built up a portfolio of paid and voluntary positions as a consultant and non-executive member. She is well travelled and has recently published two volumes of semi-biographical memoirs entitled Travels and Travails: Mona’s Journey.
Ranjit is a woman of independent standing and personal credibility, well respected in her profession for her commitment to ensuring that issues of diversity and quality are kept firmly on the agenda in public services. Her sincere commitment to excellence and core leadership skills in the areas of strategic management, corporate governance, teaching and learning, research, diversity and inclusion have been proven through a range of national and international consultancy assignments and public appointments. Emotionally intelligent, intuitive, optimistic and resilient with a ‘can-do’ attitude, she is equally confident to work in challenging environments in both public and private sectors.
