Staying Safe
Staying Safe is a partnership between the Youth Service and domestic abuse services.
It provides domestic abuse support, advice and guidance to children and young people who may be at risk of harmful relationships or who are living, or have lived, in households where domestic abuse is present.
The project focuses on early help, safety, recovery and resilience, alongside education around healthy and respectful relationships, so young people feel informed, supported and safer in their lives and relationships.

How we support young people
Our support is:

- Confidential (within safeguarding responsibilities)

One to one specialist support
Safety planning and emotional support
Emotional Wellbeing Support
Support around stalking, coercive control and online safety
Practical advice and guidance
Signposting and referrals to other services

Youth workers are a vital part of the Staying Safe Project.
Staying Put Domestic Abuse Workers work alongside Youth Service staff to ensure young people receive the right support at the right time, with their voice at the centre of every decision.

Reduce risk
Improve safety
Build confidence and resilience
