Domestic abuse is a widespread problem that affects one in four women. But Yasmin Khan, our CEO at Staying Put, is determined to make a difference. Along with two members of our management team, Anita Pluckwell and Andy Ellis, she’s participating in a sleep-out fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for those who are at risk of homelessness due to domestic abuse.
This sleep-out event will take place on Thursday, 19th October at Leeds United Football Club’s Elland Road stadium. And Yasmin is calling on local business leaders to join her in this effort to make a difference!
Yasmin has been at the helm of Staying Put since 2006, leading the charity through a period of impressive growth – and her dedication to the cause shows no signs of slowing down. Last year, her team dealt with over 22,000 enquiries from people in need of help, and she knows that there’s still much work to be done to chip away the stigma surrounding domestic abuse.
