Bradford-based charity, Staying Put, has today announced the appointment of two senior members of staff, following a period of growth.

Anita Pluckwell has joined as Head of Operations and Client Care, and Ali Hussain has joined the team in the new role of Head of Finance and Corporate Services.

With a background in social care, Anita Pluckwell has worked across Europe, and set up a victim support scheme for service families in north-west Europe, before settling back in the UK and furthering her career in domestic abuse services. She joins the charity from Trafford Domestic Abuse Services where she led a team delivering outreach services to survivors and developed domestic abuse training packages for professionals.

Anita says, “I am delighted to be joining Staying Put, and having the opportunity to bring my experience to a new organisation, and learn from a new team. A strong team ethos is really important to me, and I’m looking forward to my future with the charity.”

Following years working in the automotive and architectural industries, proud Bradfordian Ali Hussain is thrilled to support a local charity that aligns with his values.

Ali says, “I’m really looking forward to working within a new industry for me, and acknowledge and admire the work that Staying Put do. Working for a charity in my local community means a lot to me, and this is an exciting time to be joining such a fantastic organisation.”

Yasmin Khan, Chief Executive Officer, says “It’s a great time to join Staying Put.  We choose our new team members carefully and we’re proud to welcome Anita and Ali, with all of their talents, ideas and faults. Yes, faults — making mistakes is an important part of growth, and we hope they’ll never worry about trying to be perfect on the job. We sure aren’t!”
