Our CEO Sleep- Out, which was scheduled for April, has been postponed until the 19th October. This is due to the venue changing the date we can complete the event.
“We’re disappointed it’s been postponed, but happy we’re missing the April showers!’ Yasmin Khan, CEO Staying Put. “Rest assured it’s been rescheduled for October and we’d love for local business leaders to join us!”
The sleep-out event will now take place on Thursday, 19th October at Leeds United Football Club’s Elland Road stadium. Yasmin and colleagues Anita Puckwell and Andy Ellis are completing the sleep out to raise awareness and funds for those who are at risk of homelessness due to domestic abuse.
Domestic abuse is a widespread problem that affects one in four women. Last year, Staying Put dealt with over 22,000 enquiries from people in need of help. At many stages of their journey survivor subjected to domestic abuse are at threat of being made homeless.
