We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to work with children and young people who have been affected by domestic abuse. Based at our refuges and accommodation sites across Bradford and Keighley, you will be responsible for delivering group, or one to one, sessions with children and young people, to reduce the impact of trauma, increase their resilience and offer needs led support.
Women only – ** Due to the nature of our refuges being for women only, we can only accept applications from women under schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010**
Prime objectives of post
- As part of our dedicated safe accommodation team, this role works proactively with children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse offering risk assessed, strength based and needs led support.
- Deliver both group work and one to one support with children and young people within the refuge or dispersed setting.
- Focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children/young people who have been the victims of domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.
- Work alongside each child/young person ensuring an age appropriate response and liaising closely with the mother/carer, school and other appropriate agencies to meet a range of needs.

Full time (37.5 hrs per week), £23,000 – £24,012 per annum, dependent on experience. Initially, 12 months fixed term.
